Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023
Do you recognize the layers of faith that the Lord has given you?
What you know of God has been made visible to you by God. Do you yearn to know more? Perhaps God calls you in the night and day, waiting to reveal more of himself to you.
He waits patiently to reveal himself at the points you are most ready for him. Perhaps you are like a cake built layer upon layer. Those layers of faith represent the depth of your understanding of God and your growth from them. At specific points, the Lord adds a touch of frosting to sweeten and further evidence himself to you. Your layers are never too many or completely added until the end of your earthly days. Then, the final frosting will be added to your delight and the Lord's in heaven's glory. Then you will be swept away with how beautiful you are in the eyes of the Lord and how magnificent the Lord is in yours.
Prayer:
Glorious Father, I am like a cake growing in layers of understanding, belief, and faith. I do not question you in my faith, yet I ask myself. Am I enough? Am I good enough? Yet, I know I don't need to plague myself with these questions. With my acceptance of Jesus Christ as my Savior, it is done. There is no failure in your eyes whether I change or not. My belief is enough. My faith is gift enough. But still, I want to continue to grow. I do not want to stay as I am today. I know there is so much I can still think and do that will provide value for you, Lord. So please help me continue to grow for you.
Thank you for layering your love and knowledge on me. In reflection, I can see many points where you dabbed me with frosting, and I smile at the thought that I am yours to mold as you will. Amen

ENOUGH
Thank you, God, for layering your love and knowledge on me. In reflection, I can see many points where you dabbed me with frosting, and I smile at the thought that I am yours to mold as you will. Amen
