Day 285 - The Benefit of Staying Consistent with Faith and Love

Have you considered why staying consistent with faith and love is essential to the Lord?

For it is life to us if you keep your faith in the Lord unchanged. (1 Thessalonians 3.8 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Faith and love sound and seem so simple. Yet, is staying consistent with faith and love easy day after day? This is our Lord's request of you. Love the Lord before everything, love your neighbor as yourself, and love yourself, for God made you. Faith is an outpouring or expression of love. To love God so much that you never doubt. That is the task of all people.

Imagine a world where you love the Lord so much that you never have a sad day, a hopeless feeling, or a feeling of being lost. No sense of worry would cross your thoughts. That would be your gift if you love the Lord wholeheartedly. Your peace could be all-encompassing and change how you look and feel about everything!

Prayer:

I ask you, Lord, to help me begin to love you with my whole. Break down the barriers I keep to protect myself. Those barriers keep me from you, and I no longer want that in my life. I want to love and know you fully. I also want to share that love with others so we may all grow closer to you. Free me to love completely, you and everyone in my life. You bless me continuously, Lord, and I am thankful; please know I want to grow closer and closer to you every day of my life. Please guide me in my journey to you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
