Day 282 - Transforming Your Daily Actions into Worship: Live a Life of Service to the Lord

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Finding your way is easier when you live a life of service to the Lord.

In the knowledge that for every good thing anyone does, he will have his reward from the Lord, If he is a servant or if he is free.(Ephesians 6.8 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Do you think of the things you do each day as willingly serving the Lord or things you have or want to do? What if you decided to consider every action as a service to the Lord? Would it change your life, your decisions, your impact? Even the simple act of brushing your teeth can be a service to God. Taking care of your teeth is part of taking care of the gift of your body. Many people fear talking, smiling, and enjoying themselves if their teeth are bad. They are ashamed or embarrassed. What gifts are lost to the world when someone feels this way?

Consider every action, large or small, a part of serving God, and you may find you are ready for every challenge and many new opportunities for the Lord. When you come from constantly serving the Lord and looking at your actions from that lens, your potential for joy grows as new opportunities present themselves.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me to consider everything I do and think as some form of service to benefit you and your people. In doing this, please open new doors for me to reach others so that we can find happiness, health, and grace. You are my Lord, my only God, and I am grateful to be your humble servant. I eagerly await opportunities as I live a life of service to you, Lord. I can only dream of. Lead the way, I will follow. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
