Day 215 - How Believing in Jesus Christ Will Bring Light, Peace, Inspiration, and Joy to Your Life

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Jesus Christ will bring light, peace, joy, and inspiration into our lives. We can see and understand what we never knew existed from that moment.

And when he went on his way, he saw a man blind from birth.
And his disciples put a question to him, saying, Master, was it because of this man's sin, or the sin of his father and mother, that he has been blind from birth?
Jesus said in answer, It was not because of his sin, or because of his father's or mother's; it was so that the works of God might be seen openly in him.
While it is day we have to do the works of him who sent me: the night comes when no work may be done.
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Having said these words, he put earth, mixed with water from his mouth, on the man's eyes,
And said to him, Go and make yourself clean in the bath of Siloam (the sense of the name is, Sent). So he went away and, after washing, came back able to see. (John 9.1-7 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

We are all born blind. We gain true sight by accepting Jesus Christ as our redeemer and savior, the one true Son of God. Jesus Christ will bring light, peace, joy, and inspiration into our lives. We can see and understand what we never knew existed from that moment. For some, this comes early in life. For others, it happens at the moment before death.

With your eyes open, you begin to change. You will begin to change when this happens, or you will remain blind and misled. Satan will use every opportunity to send you astray.

Do you hear the small voice telling you what is right and wrong? Choose to ignore it and risk peril. Instead, sincerely hear God's voice, listen, act, and see what wonders will happen in your life. God's gifts are your choice, and that will decide your future.

Prayer:

God of the whole of everything, I am listening. What is your goal for my life? Where am I off track? Where am I on track, but I need to go further? Father, where am I still blind to your truths? Please help me completely understand what I need to know. You are there every minute for all of us, but I am afraid that I am asleep at times when I should be listening and growing. I am sorry, but at the same time, I am grateful for the clarity and peace that you have brought into my life. My life is much happier now. The moments of pure joy are so sweet. Thinking of them makes me feel, at last, I am home. You give me purpose and a good longing for a better world. For that longing, I am taking action, which results in extending my days to have more light, peace, and joy. Father, I am so thankful. Amen.
