Day 45 - Righteousness For Others

Have you thought of using your righteousness for others?

So then, as the effect of one act of wrongdoing was that punishment came on all men, even so the effect of one act of righteousness was righteousness of life for all men. Because, as numbers of men became sinners through the wrongdoing of one man, even so will great numbers get righteousness through the keeping of the word of God by one man. (Romans 5.18-19 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Adam and Eve initially condemned all of humanity to be sinners.

Jesus Christ, through the Lord's gift of Jesus' life and death, saved us, all of humanity, from sin.

No longer do we suffer the fate of death for our sins. On the contrary, we now receive eternal life for our faith, even though it is only as large as a grain of sand and imperfect in some way.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father forgiver of all in creation. In scripture, Romans talks about how one person can save many through righteousness. Make me righteous, please. Allow me to use my righteousness for others.

Father, allow me to be a soldier for you, ensuring that many will be brought to your heavenly gate when their time comes. I cannot imagine a more incredible blessing than contributing to the eternal life of another for you.

I am humbled that I can play such a role in another's destiny. It is an emotional thought and a deep desire to serve you this way. Amen.
