Day 203 - God's Will and the Righteous Thing

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Understanding God's will and the righteous thing will bring you joy.

Give us help in our trouble; for there is no help in man.
With God we will do great things; for by him will our haters be crushed underfoot. (Psalms 108.12-13 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Jesus did not show fear, if he had any, to those who opposed him. They sought to kill him, yet he was unwavering in his faith. He knew he was doing God's will and the righteous thing. Jesus was strong with the power of God.

You may not feel as strong as Jesus, yet perhaps with him, you can be strong enough. Strong enough for your part of God's will. Never think that you are alone. God and Jesus will strengthen you and give you courage if you ask and accept their help.

Prayer:

Holy Father and beloved Son, I ask for your help today and every day I have to come. Allow me to feel your strength so that in a time of difficulty, I can stand firm and openly display my faith in you to others. Let this display turn the heads and hearts of the unbelievers and troubled to you. Use me to help them find the way to you. As this happens, please help me recognize areas where continuing to grow my faith will produce joy. Let this joy encourage others to want this for themselves. Let me do great things for you and for this lovely world you have given us. Let me bring more beauty both in the environment and in relationships with others. Amen.
