Day 325 - Accept the Peace of God, Put Aside Your Worries

With God, put aside your worries to find a life of trust and peace.

Does worry or anxiety over what will happen in the future consume your thoughts? Jesus, talking with a crowd, said.

For where your wealth is, there will your heart be.

Be ready, dressed as for a journey, with your lights burning.

And be like men who are looking for their lord, when he comes back from the bride-feast; so that when he comes to the door, it will be open to him quickly.

Happy are those servants who are watching when the lord comes; truly I say to you, he will make himself their servant and, placing them at the table, he will come out and give them food.

And if he comes in the second division of the night or in the third, and they are watching for him, happy are those servants. (Luke 12.34-38 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Anxiety and worry separate you from the Father. They fill your mind and heart with what-ifs instead of his will and desire for you. Put aside your worries and trust in the Lord. Let trust fill your mind; be your treasure, free your heart. Receive the peace this will give you. Worry is another emotion that equates to time lost for God. Every moment you spend worrying is a moment of peace, service, and commitment to good that is lost. Many will have a lifetime of being lost. Will you be one of them?

Prayer:

Heavenly King, replace my worry and anxiety with service to the Kingdom. Remind me gently that you will provide all of my needs. Strengthen me to always live in this belief. You, Lord, are my pillar and provider of all I need. I only have to ask, and I will receive, believe, and see your footsteps, showing how you lead me everywhere I go. In my service, I will see the Kingdom in everyone I meet. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
