Day 31 - Witnessing the Glory of God on the Mountain

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Seeing the glory of God

It must have been a beautiful day when Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up the mountain to behold the God of Israel. These leaders of Israel saw God and feasted with him. It is unimaginable to understand what they must have felt. Awestruck is probably not descriptive enough! What a blessing for them and all humanity.

Humans have seen the glory of God and the humanity and glory of Jesus. We are of God as Jesus is. How can we fail to believe? To remove your blinders, open the scripture, and receive the truths within. Remember to read scripture with the belief of a child. Pray to recognize that scripture is a gift from God that enables you to hear and see God in ways beyond yourself. You can remove suffering and doubt from your spirit by learning and believing in scripture. Confidence in God gentles the everyday worries of life. You can feel confident that he delivers in the way that is best for your need and growth.

Loving Father, you allowed humanity to see your glory personally. While I may not have been there, I believe it happened. I believe You promised man salvation, and Your faith in us will deliver us one day to personally witness Your glory. Until then, enable me to tell others of your gift, to help them understand just how real you are. Strengthen my tongue to share a vision of you that they have not yet felt or understood. Allowing me to be your instrument, use me to help you reform their doubt. I am your servant. Send me where I am needed.

Jesus, your sacrifice saved me from the unimaginable end of my soul. With the knowledge that one day I will gain a glimpse of you, I will continue to grow and live as you instructed. In your most holy beauty, I thank you. Amen.
