Scripture proclaimed Jesus as the head of the church long before he was born.

"Have you not seen this which is in the Writings: The stone which the builders put on one side, the same was made the chief stone of the building: This was the Lord's doing, and it is a wonder in our eyes? (Mark 12.10-11 Bible in Basic English (BBE))"

This scripture seems a little difficult to understand, yet it is very deep in thought and worthy of prayer for understanding. This scripture refers to Jesus, and it was first referenced in Psalm 188.22. These prophetic words were recorded before Jesus was conceived.

Jesus was the one who was turned aside, ignored, and scorned by the priests. Jesus was put on one side by the non-believers, yet by the glory of God, Jesus was made the chief stone of the temple. Jesus was born to become the head of the church. It was his divine destiny. The wonder of this is still faith-inspiring.

This scripture clearly shows how deep the Lord's love is for all, even the lowest among us. His charity, compassion, and love are much more fantastic than we can comprehend. Ponder this. Pray, think about times you are in awe of God's wonder, and realize that your prayer will bring you closer to God. God hears you and delivers.

Prayer:

Heavenly King of all who believes, you set your son as the head of our church. You brought him into human life for us and our eternal salvation. Your love is beyond my comprehension, yet I continue to pray and hope that I understand more and more what your love means to me and all who believe. I want to think and love as you do. I want to follow your example and that of your beloved son, Jesus. Please help me to emulate his actions from the depth of who I am. Eliminate the fear and doubt that keeps me from fully understanding your glory.

Help me learn to release the ties that bind me and prevent me from sharing your love with others and exhibiting my faith from my toes to my brain without hesitation. I love you, and thank you for the gift of your son, his church, and your love. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen
