Can we teach ourselves to act with "God thinking" as our method of thinking?
In the New Testament, Jesus is with the disciples and a large group of people when Peter argues with Jesus regarding Jesus having to suffer, die, and be resurrected after three days.
"But he, turning about, and seeing his disciples, said sharply to Peter, Get out of my way, Satan: for your mind is not on the things of God, but on the things of men. And turning to the mass of people with his disciples, he said to them, If any man has the desire to come after me, let him give up all other desires, and take up his cross and come after me." (Mark 8.33-34 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
What does "God Thinking" mean to you? Do you think of what God thinks about? As God does?
What does it mean to have our mind on the things of God?
To be understanding?
To be demanding when needed for justice?
To be delighted in others?
To be devastated by cruelty?
To be loving in a non-judgmental way?
To have expectations of what must come?
To help those whom many feel are the slightest of those amongst us?
To hug and kiss the dirty?
To share even your poverty for the good of another?
To believe that there is always hope?
To pray with compassion and a need for change?
What else goes on this list? Do you think as God thinks? Can you "God Think"?
Prayer:
Ever, thoughtful Lord, you are my mentor, hero, and destiny. I only sometimes think as you do. I see many areas in my thoughts and actions where I can change my perspective to become a better servant and a Christian. Jesus showed me the path, yet sometimes, my humanity causes me to stumble in small and huge ways. Help me become consistent and more loving to others, to please you and strengthen me.
Stop me from choosing to stand between good and evil; help me stand firmly in good, resistant to destructive thoughts and lack of action. To live only in the area where you thrive. I want to succeed for you. By design, you are a divine mystery that I will never completely understand. However, I can move closer to you daily with your support. Because I yearn to be more for you, I trust you will help me grow my service to you and your mission.
Holy Spirit, grant me your wisdom to knowingly choose the righteous path and, where possible, help others do the same. Therefore, I offer this desire for help in the name of Jesus Christ, my redeemer for all eternity. Amen.

I shall, throughout my day, be more consciously God thinking because of this post.
The tangle shows me the center point, God, with all the contributing thoughts.
