Yes, the spirit and the actions of the spirit are life for all who believe.
The spirit is the life giver; the flesh is of no value: the words which I have said to you are spirit and they are life. (John 6.63 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
Spirit, Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost to many, is the spirit that matters and creates opportunities for bringing people to belief. As Jesus said, the spirit and the actions of the spirit are life. The inner voice that you hear is a guide and wants to nurture you. The spirit nurtures you to become your better self. The Spirit is the voice of God calling you and your name to come to him.
The spirit is mysterious yet beautiful in the knowledge and expectation that you are so much more than your humanness can understand. Mysterious, yet you can personally know, love, and follow the spirit if you listen. The spirit, God, and Jesus are calling continuously when you are awake and asleep. Listen to your inner voice, their voice, and learn to know, understand, and love the Holy Spirit.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit I am listening, wanting to hear your voice. I am ready to consider your words and how they apply to my life. I know you call me and I don't always hear. The noise of the world gets in the way if I am not careful. It is so easy to hear everything else rather than you. I am sorry for my foolishness. You are most important, I am certain of that, so I will try to listen more intently in every way I can. Please keep calling if I am slow to respond, I promise it is not intentional. You know that. You understand my intent so much better than anyone else can. I appreciate that and your patience. Please help me understand my journey and where you want to see me go. Help me overcome the obstacles with your wisdom and guidance. I am yours to serve as you see fit. Amen.
