Consider this, the Lord's opinion of you matters more than yours of yourself.
But whoever has a desire for glory, let his glory be in the Lord.
For the Lord's approval of a man is not dependent on his opinion of himself, but on the Lord's opinion of him. (2 Corinthians 10.17-18 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
The Lord's opinion matters, not what we think of ourselves. Many people are very hard on themselves. Are you? Do you feel like you don't make enough, achieve enough, or spend enough time with friends and family and that these things and others affect how God sees you?
God loves you. God knows that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior if you have. If you haven't, you can; he eagerly awaits your acceptance. When you confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your redeemer, nothing else is required of you. God loves you before, at that moment, and from then on. Let it sink in that God always loves you no matter what. He loves unconditionally. Hopefully, you will want to emulate God's love, determine your Godly goals, and make changes, but nothing else is required of you for the Lord to have a high opinion of you. Can you reform your view of yourself also?
Prayer:
Loving God, I desire to love myself not with pride but with your authenticity demonstrated in your love for me. I want to love myself and show that love meaningfully by caring for myself and growing. I want to be an example for those who doubt themselves and help me grow acceptance of and embracing my uniqueness. I am one of a kind, thanks to you, Lord, and I am pleased to understand that. I have my way and path. How awesome to discover it while I serve you. It is with great appreciation, Lord, that I recognize the beauty that I am in your eyes. Thank you so much for your love and support. Amen.

Cindy Rae, this is such an important topic. Each is a precious child of God. Jesus is the Good Shepherd and looks after us. What if we all gave up our low self-esteem and saw ourselves as worthy? Here is an icon painting of Jesus as The Good Shepherd. Blessings to you, Cindy Rae!
