Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023
We receive so many gifts every day, but none match the gift of our Savior. Do you stop to appreciate them and offer gratitude?
Even as the Son of man did not come to have servants, but to be a servant, and to give his life for the salvation of men. (Matthew 20.28 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
How often do you share the blessings of God? How often do you relate a good thing to a gift from our Lord as a blessing? God gave us a tremendous gift in Jesus, and Jesus, in turn, became a servant to all who would come to repent and accept his salvation. What better gift can we have? There are so many gifts every day, but none match the gift of our Savior.
Even the breath of cool wind on a hot day is a blessing from God. He refreshes you in every way. Take a moment to praise and rejoice in the many gifts of each day, for each is a blessing from him who loves us so much. Encourage others not to take full credit or brag but rather to relate their good to the beauty of having God in your life. Encourage others to experience this wonder for themselves. That is one of the gifts you can give our Father that makes him so happy.
Prayer:
Loving God, I don't want to waste a minute giving you glory for everything beautiful in my life, from family and friends to the cool breeze. I thank you. Thank you for Jesus and your commitment to me and all who believe. I love you and wish to do my best to help you fulfill your promises and potential. Use me at your will. Amen.
