Do you fear the end? Lose your fear and realize with God, life overcomes death.
And in the same way as we have taken on us the image of the man from the earth, so we will take on us the image of the one from heaven. Now I say this, my brothers, that it is not possible for flesh and blood to have a part in the kingdom of God; and death may not have a part in life. See, I am giving you the revelation of a secret: we will not all come to the sleep of death, but we will all be changed. In a second, in the shutting of an eye, at the sound of the last horn: for at that sound the dead will come again, free for ever from the power of death, and we will be changed. For this body which comes to destruction will be made free from the power of death, and the man who is under the power of death will put on eternal life. But when this has taken place, then that which was said in the Writings will come true, Death is overcome by life. O death, where is your power? O death, where are your pains?
The pain of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law: But praise be to God who gives us strength to overcome through our Lord Jesus Christ. For this cause, my dear brothers, be strong in purpose and unmoved, ever giving yourselves to the work of the Lord, because you are certain that your work is not without effect in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15.49-58 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
There is so much to wonder about as you read scripture. This scripture is beautiful and promises a bright future. Imagine a place and time where we are no longer of a physical nature, without pain, affliction, loneliness, disability, and all other physical things that affect our lives.
There is a great mystery to what happens as we leave life on this earth and what can be expected at the Resurrection of all believers. While we do not have a detailed description, we do have the promise of what is to come and what will happen. You must believe and be ready. You do not want anyone you love and care about to be among those Jesus destroys before handing the kingdom to God. Accept your gift, invite others to receive it, and act accordingly to your promise; know fulfillment is yours.
Prayer:
Loving God, your plan is magnificent. One day, as believers, we will overcome evil with your power and grace. Until then, use me as you will to bring others into our Christian family. Please help me understand and comfort others by knowing death has no hold on eternal life. The better we understand that life overcomes death the happier we can live. By knowing that I feel my fear of death lessening its grip on my life, I can feel more open to the potential of my life. To fear death is to be afraid of you, and I will not have it. I will regret leaving those I care about, but with you, fear will not dominate my life. I am open to my future Lord. Please lead the way. Amen.

Word of the Day
OVERCOME
Read the scripture in context on the Bible in Basic English (BBE) website.
Your great post is reminding me of a Keith Green song. Second Chapter of Acts did it, too, and I sometimes listen to it on Easter. The words are, "life conquers death. Jesus Christ is risen!" Thanks for this reminder. - Jeanine Byers
Really enjoyed this reading. We read something similar in church a few weeks ago and it brought a little peace since I had lost my mom earlier this year. Thanks for sharing. Samantha @ www.goldenagetraveling.com
Overcome is an ideal word for this scripture.
Yes, I will regret leaving those I care about, but with you, fear will not dominate my life.
I am open to my future Lord.
The Savior of mankind, Yahshua, popularly known as "Jesus," had overcome death, thereby giving all of us a chance to receive the gift of eternal life if we repent and abide in the words of the Bible. - Danwil Reyes
I wrote a blog about death and I actually went to heaven but was given more time and came back. It is a beautiful place I will never forget. http://themarthareview.com/its-inevitable/
