Day 359 - God's Graciousness and Love Are Inconceivable

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2024

Recognize that God's graciousness and love are inconceivable yet believable.

For this cause the Lord of armies has said, Give thought to your ways.
Much has been planted, but little got in; you take food, but have not enough; you take drink, but are not full; you are clothed, but no one is warm; and he who gets payment for his work, gets it to put it into a bag full of holes.
This is what the Lord of armies has said: Give thought to your ways. (Haggai 1.5-7 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

We are the children of the Lord. He created us in his image. On Christmas day, we remember that he gave his only son to humanity to save us. We shouldn't wait for a special day. Every day, we should take a moment to thank God for Jesus Christ and the opportunities he offers us.

Through Jesus Christ, you no longer need to live in fear of the Lord's anger. With his promise and your acceptance of Jesus, he removes that fear and the unknown regarding our eternal life. In addition, you gain the comfort of each day knowing what will happen to you and that you are not alone in whatever you may face. That comfort is a gift beyond comparison if you stop to value it and accept what Jesus lovingly offers everyone. You are blessed. God's graciousness and love are inconceivable, yet you are certain to eliminate all doubt if you allow this knowledge to grow into belief in your heart and mind.

Prayer:

I praise you, God, for the miracle of my everlasting life and the peace you allowed to enter me with my acceptance of Jesus as my savior. I also thank you for my life and all the days of my life. You saved me from myself and Satan. I appreciate you so much! Your Son, Jesus, is the miracle all humans hunger for, and his kind gift is remarkable in so many ways. I am grateful, humbled, and on my knees, thanking you for my life. Bless you, Lord, for your son's light and your protection. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
