Day 136 - Come Back to the Lord

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

What is your journey back to the Lord?

Now do not be hard-hearted, as your fathers were; but give yourselves to the Lord, and come into his holy place, which he has made his for ever, and be the servants of the Lord your God, so that the heat of his wrath may be turned away from you. For if you come back to the Lord, those who took away your brothers and your children will have pity on them, and let them come back to this land: for the Lord your God is full of grace and mercy, and his face will not be turned away from you if you come back to him (2 Chronicles 30.8-9 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
And for everything he undertook, in connection with the work of the house of God and his law and orders, he got directions from God and did it with serious purpose; and things went well for him. (2 Chronicles 31.21 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

With your softened heart... how committed are you? How often do you do anything with your whole heart, soft and pliable ready for the Lord? If you seek the Lord with your whole heart, you will find him. He will lead you beyond your comprehension; the blessing will be yours.

Prayer:

Lord, soften my heart to you and others who love you. May your grace be displayed steadily in my life to others. I do not seek this for the privilege, but rather, I ask so that others can yearn to know you and feel your grace in their lives. I am blessed. I know that. I am grateful. Enable me to work with a serious purpose for you all the days of my life. Amen.
