Tangle Step-out for SMTHNG, an Original Tangle by Cindy Rae Fancher, CZT®

Writer's picture: Cindy Rae FancherCindy Rae Fancher

On day 81 of the Finding Your Creative Bones® devotional, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I drew the tangle SMTHNG while considering the love of Jesus Christ. The tangle resembles a butterfly, which seems very appropriate to Jesus. His life on earth was very short, yet his dedication and love for his mission overshadowed any thought of doing anything else. Such is the life of a butterfly also.

My tangles represent a thought, but this tangle fits into the non-representational category.

Within Day 81 of FYCB blog and the book, I tangled SMTHNG on a watercolor background, shown below. I love the simplicity of a single tangle on a Golden QoR watercolor background using a Micron 01 fine liner. The step-out also uses a red Micron 01 fine liner.

The Zentangle® Method reminds us there are no mistakes. Only opportunities!!! You can also see that there are many ways to Tangle SMTHNG, have fun playing with your versions!
