Day 357 - Will You Go To Your Rest At Peace

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2024

When your final day comes, will you go to your rest at peace with the Lord?

And I saw another angel in flight between heaven and earth, having eternal good news to give to those who are on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and language and people,
Saying with a loud voice, Have fear of God and give him glory; because the hour of his judging is come; and give worship to him who made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of water. (Revelation 14.6-7 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
Here is the quiet strength of the saints, who keep the orders of God, and the faith of Jesus.
And a voice from heaven came to my ears, saying, Put in writing, There is a blessing on the dead who from now on come to their end in the Lord: yes, says the Spirit, that they may have rest from their troubles; for their works go with them. (Revelation 14.12-13 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

When your time comes, hopefully, many years from now, will you go to your rest at peace with the Lord? Do you already feel the peace of the Lord each day? Are you confident you are right with Jesus? If so, be confident and assured that one day, you will see the face of God, the Lamb of God, and all of the angels and saints as they celebrate your coming home and victory over evil.

Prayer:

Lord, I look forward to the best journey of my life one day. To finally see you and your beautiful Son will be a dream fulfilled. You loved me before I was born, and I am sure I knew you knew me in the womb. I am confident I felt your love. If I have not fulfilled my journey in your earthly Kingdom, please guide me in love and peace to become who you call me to be so that I achieve your many goals. I want to help you bring as many as possible to the Kingdom so we all can defeat the evil one and escape his grip. I know some will not meet you, Lord, but help me bring anyone I can to you. I thank you for blessing me and all I know and love. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
