Day 345 - You Will Be Among Those Given The White Robe

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Be confident in your faith; you will be among those given the white robe.

And when the fifth stamp was undone, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been put to death for the word of God, and for the witness which they kept.
And they gave a great cry, saying, How long will it be, O Ruler, holy and true, before you take your place as judge and give punishment for our blood to those on the earth?
And there was given to every one a white robe, and they were ordered to take their rest for a little time, till the number was complete of the other servants, their brothers, who would be put to death, even as they had been. (Revelation 6.9-11 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

You might be asked to give your life for your beliefs and faith one day. Hopefully, that will not occur. But there is strength in considering this before it happens. There will most likely be dread and fear, and most people will have great emotions. Should you be put to this for the sake of your faith in God, be confident that just as Revelation describes, you will be among those given the white robe and loved by God for eternity.

We are not promised that there will be no trials to face,

but we are promised a beautiful place in Heaven if we persevere in our faith.

Prayer:

Lord, I am humbled before you. Your wisdom and majesty exceed anything I can imagine. I have never seen or known any like you. Many are trying to live as you command, who are good, honest, and full of love. In them, I see pieces of you and how I can grow. For this, I am also grateful. Help me recognize you in them and help me continue to grow more like you every day. I love you, Lord, and I am yours always. Please accept my gratitude for you, your son Jesus, and the wise Holy Spirit. I would be lost without each of you. Lord, I know that there could be difficult times in the future. I pray they pass me by, but if not. Please help me be strong and face them as a soldier fighting for your kingdom should. Help me show my faith with courage, let any tears that fall wash me clean, and help to prepare me for an eternity with you. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
