Day 323 - Where Did the Phrase Heaven on Earth Come From?

Finding Your Creative Bones® 365-Day Devotional © 2023

Can you acknowledge that heaven on earth is real?

When does the Kingdom of God begin for humans? When we die, when you were born, or when you start believing God? In Luke, several times, Jesus mentions the Kingdom of God. Jesus made it sound like the Kingdom was soon to arrive.

Consider this: Did God create the earth? Are all the people, animals, and things resulting from God's creation? If so, why would you not consider the here and now as part of God's Kingdom? He reigns over the world, provides for you, and loves you. He is your King! Are you not part of the Kingdom on Earth? What part in the building of the Kingdom on Earth did Jesus play? Did his birth, death, resurrection, and ascension bring the Kingdom to Earth? That may be where the phrase Heaven on Earth originated.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, who reigns so lovingly over the Heavenly and Earthly Kingdoms, I reach out to you today to learn how to recognize better the beauty and unending capacity of the Kingdom on Earth within myself. I am grateful and believe all things are possible through you. I request your assistance and guidance daily to build my understanding and development of my role in your Kingdom's plan. With your examples and love, I will help others recognize and appreciate the blessings brought to and within us through the Kingdom on Earth. You have a believer and evangelist in me. I will follow you always and praise your holy presence. Thank you, Lord, for the paradise of your Kingdoms, your grace and love. I pray in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
