May 24 - Must My Heart and Mind Stray, Where They Should Not Go?

Finding Your Creative Bones® - Daily 365 Day Devotional with Tangle © 2023 Cindy Rae Fancher, CZT

Heal me, Lord. Why must my heart and mind stray where they should not go?

  • Why, oh God, does my heart harden against others?

  • Why must my heart and mind stray where they should not go?

  • Why can I not see the possibility of forgiveness of one, yet others receive all I have?

  • Why am I blind to the fact that I can forgive all if I ask for your help?

  • Through you, I can forgive.

  • Through you, my pain is reduced or eliminated, made tolerable.

  • Jesus forgave all. Why can't I follow his example and trust that I will find peace through forgiveness?

  • Let me welcome the peace of forgiveness today by praying to you, Lord, for help.

Prayer:

Forgiving Father, I know I have talked with you before about forgiveness. I bring it to you again to ensure I am still growing in this area. A lack of forgiveness biases my life, and I am uncomfortable with anything I do when I am feeling negative emotions. Bias can lead to bad decisions, and I do not want to be guilty of that. It affects me and those I am biased about. Heal my spirit of the desire to make decisions, speak, and act based on negative emotions. I am grateful for your help with this and all things. Amen.
