June 25 - If Only We Could All Be Job, Sure of God's Belief

How beautiful it would be if we could all be Job, sure of God's belief in and knowledge of us.

Eliphaz responded to Job again, continuing to blame him for sinning and, as a result, his affliction. He suggested that Job beg God for forgiveness, making offerings he will keep. He felt that Job had sinned and that, as a result, God was punishing Him. He never considered that Satan was torturing Job.

For he has knowledge of the way I take; after I have been tested I will come out like gold.

My feet have gone in his steps; I have kept in his way, without turning to one side or to the other.

I have never gone against the orders of his lips; the words of his mouth have been stored up in my heart. (Job 23.10-12 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Job responded in his seventh response, indicating he would gladly call out to the Lord if he could find him. He would lay out his case and plead for mercy. He reminds Eliphaz that he always followed God and loved him. He never wavered.

How beautiful it would be if we could all be Job, sure of God's belief in and knowledge of us. You can start today. It is never too late until it is. Knowing God believes in you strengthens you to believe in God.

Prayer:

My loving Father, a believer in me and all I can achieve through you. Thank you for your faith. I am grateful. Continue to grow my ability to believe through all things. I can do this with you. I don't need to see you; I know I am evolving; I need to open my heart to your grace. It is there. When I stop, I realize that you are weaving the tapestry of my life into a beautifully incredible mantle for others to grow. That knowledge is fantastic. I am blessed and so grateful for your call and your love. Amen.
