July 5 - Lord, You Have Often Drawn Me From the Net of Trouble Many Times

Finding Your Creative Bones® - Daily 365 Day Devotional with Tangle © 2023 Cindy Rae Fancher, CZT

Precious God, I know you have often drawn me from the net of trouble. I am grateful!

All the ends of the earth will keep it in mind and be turned to the Lord: all the families of the nations will give him worship. For the kingdom is the Lord's; he is the ruler among the nations. All the fat ones of the earth will give him worship; all those who go down to the dust will make themselves low before him, even he who has not enough for the life of his soul. A seed will be his servant; the doings of the Lord will be made clear to the generation which comes after. They will come and make his righteousness clear to a people of the future because he has done this. (Psalms 22.27-31 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

This prayer calls out to the Lord as the people feel forsaken. This prophetic Scripture predates Jesus but foretells his coming to the world. It is always amazing to consider how Scripture in the Old Testament points to what is to come and that it did come true. This is another sign of God's reality. How else could the Old Testament point to the truths of the future?

Perhaps we should follow David's words.

My eyes are turned to the Lord at all times; for he will take my feet out of the net. (Psalms 25.15 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Prayer:

Lord, my eyes are turned to you, and I know from experience you have often drawn me from the net of trouble many times. I am grateful! You are my savior in every way, physical and spiritual. You heal my body when I am ill and remove all types of stress. I am grateful. You comfort my spirit when I falter and strengthen my will according to your will. I am grateful! My eyes are on you now, and I will endeavor to maintain this for all the moments of my life. I am grateful! Amen.
