February 7 - Jesus Died on the Cross for Us, Our Gift of Life

Finding Your Creative Bones® - Daily 365 Day Devotional with Tangle © 2023 Cindy Rae Fancher, CZT

Through Jesus Christ's sacrifice, we receive the Gift of Life.

And Jesus gave a loud cry, and gave up his spirit. And the curtain of the Temple was parted in two from end to end. And when the captain, who was near, saw how he gave up his spirit, he said, Truly this man was a son of God. Mark 15.37-39 (Bible in Basic English (BBE))

When Jesus passed from human life to join God, humanity was gifted a future. A future profound in love that is available to all of us. All we must do is accept that our Lord is real and with us, recognize that God is the creator of us and everything within and around us, and repent of our sins.

Following that, you need to utilize the gift of creativity. To create your life in alignment with God's wishes for you. This is an everyday activity. Each moment, you will be given choices. Sometimes, it will be difficult to follow our Lord, remaining in the light of Jesus Christ's everlasting gift. But do your best and realize that the next moment will offer another opportunity to realign with the Father.

Prayer:

Gracious Creator of all. I choose you and my future with you. It fills me with sorrow to think of what Jesus went through for us, yet that sadness is replaced by wonder at the gift now in my hands. Your precious boy went through so much for us, unimaginable pain and mental suffering. I trust I will never encounter anything so terrible, but if I do, grant me the strength of Jesus to endure until it is my time to enter heaven.

Today and all of the tomorrows I have, I will serve you and humanity to spread my understanding of your beautiful love and the gifts your love brings. I cherish our moments and thank you for the gift of Jesus and my everlasting life. Amen
