April 3 - Knowing Love is Difficult if You Do Not Express Love

Finding Your Creative Bones® - Daily 365 Day Devotional with Tangle © 2023 Cindy Rae Fancher, CZT

Are you feeling unloved? Do you genuinely love others? Finding love is difficult if you do not express love.

And if I have a prophet's power, and have knowledge of all secret things; and if I have all faith, by which mountains may be moved from their place, but have not love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13.2 Bible in Basic English (BBE))

Life without some form of love is lonely and challenging. A lack of love may be why many get into trouble and have sad, unfulfilled lives. But there are so many ways to have real love in your life. There is no reason why you should not love and be loved. Family, friends, pets, those you serve, church friends, etc., are all ways to have meaningful love in your life. You need to seek it and, most of all, love others. Finding love is difficult if you do not express love. In most circumstances, when you show love, you will find love returned many times over. It is this love that will make your life joy-filled.

Prayer:

Lord, with the biggest heart ever created, you call us all to demonstrate your love to others. You have also made it possible for us to feel love and the immense joy of knowing you are loved. I am grateful for the love I have received and will continue to receive. I am hopeful that before I go home, I will love many others and feel their love in return. I look forward to meeting them, getting to know them, and learning to love them. It is evident that all creatures have a capacity for love, and I see this as an ever-present sign of you, Father. When I see a bird and its partner, I see your love and know you created them with love. The same is true for dogs, cats, and all species. What a beautiful example they make for us to follow. I have only to remember that your love creates all things, and I remember the most meaningful love of all. Yours. Amen.
