Do you ever ask yourself how real is God?
Is God real to you? This is a simple question, but one you must immediately respond to. Be careful not to let anything cause you to be like Peter and deny the truth. Can you imagine Jesus and God's sorrow knowing that Peter would betray them? I think Jesus may have felt tears on his face at the betrayal.
We need to learn how to stand firm and courageous in our beliefs. Yes, courage is sometimes necessary to live as Jesus taught us. God asks us to act with courage and live our answer to the question, "Is God real to you?" in every action we take.
Prayer:
Father, you are real to me. Jesus provided the only example I need to remain faithful, yet I doubt I have the strength he had to accept your will so gracefully. Even when Jesus was probably afraid, he accepted your will. I want to also. Perhaps with the Holy Spirit whispering into my heart and my thoughts of Jesus, I will develop the strength I need to become more than I am today. To be a more faithful, caring, and better person equipped to meet the journey of my life with a love of you ever present in every way. I thank you for any help you give me, and I promise that I know you are real and that my love for you is also real. Amen
