Spiritual power is found in a group of believers. Share your faith with others who believe in God.
And the chief priests and the chief men of the Jews made statements against Paul,
Requesting Festus to give effect to their design against him, and send him to Jerusalem, when they would be waiting to put him to death on the way. (Acts 25.2-3 Bible in Basic English (BBE))
Does it confuse or surprise you to learn that many of the Apostles faced death for their belief in Jesus Christ, son of God? Do you think that would never happen today if Jesus had come now instead of then? How would it be for you if you were an apostle? Would you be safe? Undoubtedly, there would be great skepticism surrounding you as the divide still exists between believers and those who do not—those who know without seeing and those who choose not to see.
We are fortunate that life is not as harsh as it was then for most of us now, but we must struggle and stand ready in and for our faith. Knowing God is still here, we must make difficult choices and evangelize whenever possible. Please take comfort in knowing we are not alone. He has not forsaken us. If you feel he has, pray for him to remove your blindness and lead you out of the desert to him and other believers. Choose to be surrounded by those who believe, take strength in their knowledge of God and their faith that God is alive and within all humans. Inviting other believers into your life magnifies your awareness of God. Remind yourself of Matthew 18.20: God is there with them when two or more are gathered in belief. There is real spiritual power in a group of believers gathered around faith.
Heavenly King, I pray for your guidance. Lead me out of any darkness in my life. Open the curtains on my doubt and fear to shine your brilliance and love throughout me. Bring me to others who believe and bring others to us to grow your family. Strengthen our faith and hold our hands as we journey to you for all eternity. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
